You can either go for a romantic type of look with tailored velvet jackets, lace, even ribbon, or you can go for harder, rocks or punky look with spiked collars and big industrial boots.It's a good idea for you to look fit inspiration around you. Look in magazines or look in films or even on line. The thing is you don't want to copy somebody else when dressing gothic. There is no setted rules when dressing in the gothic style, so you are unique in this style. You can wear and match the gothic clothes as what you can imagine and think good. I've got some things here to show you. This is for a more romantic gothic look, which is a very nice dark black pendant necklace. Or you can use something like this belt here with the gold studs or even this hair band which can be used as a choker and just clipped in at the neck.It can give a bit of a romantic and also a gothic feel to it. Leather trousers as well as tight black skinny jeans are very popular among the gothic culture as well as lace material, which you can customize by either using a broach or there is a scarf with special color end and just gives a different look to your outfit. Make-up is very important when going for the gothic look. In most of times the smoky make-up is best and perfect to match the gothic style dressing. Weirdness and uniqueness are the most outstanding features in this style.You don't want too much foundation on. You need to look quite pow, very dramatic eyes, so lots of black eyeliner is a must. So when thinking about dressing gothic, consider your make-up, think about customizing your own wardrobe and look in charity shops for various pieces for inspiration for your next outfit and be comfortable being yourself and being unique.
