A latest study by AMA and epolicy institution shows that over one quarter of company bosses fired employees for their improper use of E-mail.At the same time,one third of the employees sacked because of their improper use of internet.

According to the media reports,about 304 different scale companies take part in the questionnaire.Most bosses who fired employees for improper use of internet said that their employees browsed pornographic website or other content unrelated to their work.But the so called improper content are just some websites they are not allowed to visit while working,such as surfing the internet,etc.Survey indicates 34 percent of the managers explained that doing personal things during working time is the main reason why employees are fired.

About 64 percent of those employees sacked as improper use of E-mail are thought their act broking the company regulations.62 percent thought the content of E-mail concluded improper or offensive words.22 percent of bosses explained the fired employees violated the policy of confidentiality

The inappropriately use of internet is the main apprehensions of companies.66 percent of respondents conceded they monitored the internet data.65 percent used software to block websits which they think improper.18 percent blocked URL adress to avoid employees visit external blog websites.

Companies uesd various ways to monitor employees.45 percent of respondents used remote tracking,keyboard control and cellphone monitoring.43 percent checked the temporary internet documents.12 percent monitored the blog of employees to make sure if there is something related to the company. 10 percent monitored social contact websites.Generally speaking,many bosses have used these monitoring software to help them to record employees' activities:

Survey also indicated in spite only two states of America legislate that the employees must be told they are monitored,most companies do so,actually 84 percent of respondents said they had been told .
