For a business to succeed in the professional world, having an identity that will distinguish you from your competitors is highly important. To have an identity that is unique and different from million others is the sole purpose for everyone"s existence these days; whether it is between employees or businesses, everyone strives hard to achieve that exclusive individuality. However, the game ain"t that easy. In the professional world, businesses need to come up with a convincing marketing strategy that can push their brand towards the customers. The first step in this marketing strategy is to have a business logo design. There has been a lot of talk about what makes a logo design a good one or what elements should be featured in a logo; however, the downsides of a business logo design haven"t been considered much.

A business logo design needs not only images or fonts to make it look good, but also the nature of the business has to be portrayed so that it is easy for people to memorize it. Often when talking about logo designers or clients or design firms, we discuss about the good facts. Here we"ll be talking about some negative facts about a design; facts that will tell you about what shouldn"t be done while designing a logo...

-DON"T OVERCOMPLICATE IT: Sometimes while designing, we tend to think too hard to try coming up with a design that is out of his world. Unfortunately, we tend to use too many graphics while doing so. Keep your logo simple "" less is more sometimes. A less overly complicated logo will make it easy for people to remember and will give your design the flexibility it needs to be adjusted in various sizes.

-MARK OR SYMBOL IS NOT NECESSARY ALWAYS: It is believed that having a mark or symbol for your logo design will make it easy to remember; well, you ain"t wrong there but that"s not necessary all the time. Try coming up with a design with simple typeface or get custom designed business logo from the scratch.

-KEEPIN" IT HUGE: Many times it happens that firms go for logos that are huge in size making it less appealing and uncomfortable to look at. Your business logo design should have a strong message that can attract the prospect even having a small size.

-AVOID USE OF NEON COLORS: It is obvious that every firm wants their logo to be memorable and recognizable; however, making excessive use of neon colors will get you nowhere. Use colors to evoke emotions and feelings rather than just to attract viewers.

-DON"T COPY DESIGNS: Whatever design you come up with, promise yourself that you won"t copy your competitors or anybody else"s design. Explaining your designer about your competitors design and asking for something similar, will only get you in further troubles such as court procedures as the competitor can sue you for copying their design.
