The Sig SAUER P226 is a full-size service pistol that is commendable for its higher capacity firing. The design is similar to that of Sig Sauer P220 model but there are notable difference in their operating principles. P220 gun is that of single column magazine while the P226 design has staggered column magazines giving even more power to the pistol. The important sub variants of the Sig Sauer P226 are P228 and P229 pistols. Its multi-magazine columns and options to fire a number of powerful calibers makes it an extraordinary handgun model. Sig Sauer p226 is chambered to fire the most powerful 9 mm, the .357 SIG, .40 S&W and the .22 LR. For long-range powerful shooting the 9 mm and the .22 Long Rifle are used. P226 DAK became well known for its tactical versatility and double-action trigger pull. This variant is also seen in sig p229. It had improved barrel and slide, rear target sight, hand-fitted well and has five models being sold at the market of United States. It is capable of firing 19 rounds of the 9 mm caliber and 14 rounds of .40 S&W caliber. The models are light weighing, with stainless and durable frame and the Level 1 model having Single Action trigger mechanism while the All-round gun have Double Action and Single Action trigger fire.
