subject: Unique On Trend Handmade Semi-precious Jewellery 1 [print this page]

We all know that when we wear pieces of unique handmade jewellery it will highlight our individual beauty and style. We will add these stunning accessories to our outfits in all our daily events from going to the shop to attending a society event.

At one time pieces of semi-precious jewellery were only worn by adults as these pieces were traditional crafted from precious metals like gold and silver and set with semi-precious and precious gemstones and these pieces were very expensive and treasured. Today we will see young women and even teenagers wearing piece of handmade jewellery. These pieces will be very different in designs and they will be handmade from different materials and will be far more fashion led than traditional precious designs.

The younger generation have very different tastes and wants when it comes to their jewellery choices. Their choices will be much more led by the fashion trends and what their favourite celebrity or pop star is wearing. These pieces will be young ad funky and bright and bold in colour. These pieces of fashion accessories will have to be in fashion. Among the young you will find that it is not only the girls that wear pieces of jewellery and you can see young men wearing necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings. Young people will give these pieces to each other as signs of their friendship and you will see groups of young people all wearing the same designs and pieces.

The designs that are being purchased by young people are simple pendant that have natural semi-precious stones hanging from leather or cotton necklaces these will be simple in designs and worn at different lengths. Young people already want to look cool and on trend and because generally they do not have a lot of money they will experiment and improvise making pieces for themselves and altering pieces that they buy so that they suit their individuality.

A few years ago you would not see young men wearing pieces of handmade jewellery especially pieces that included semi-precious stones but now you will see young men wearing semi-precious handmade jewellery sets, earrings and leather bracelets. Gold chain jewellery has also become very fashionable and you can see many young men wearing these pieces. No longer is fashion jewellery the domain of young women.

Having your ears pierced so that you can wear pairs of handmade earrings was usually something that girls did but now more and more young men are having their ears pierced so that they can wear unique handmade earringsand it is common for them to have only the one ear pieced to achieve that fashionable and funky look. The piercings do not stop with the ears and you can see jewellery being worn in the eyebrows, lips, nose and even the tongue.

Young men and women are influenced by what they see their favourite pop starts are wearing and the fashion for piecing can be seen among the rock stars. You can see them on stage doing their performances with their handmade jewellery shinning and glittering. When we are young we are always influenced by popular culture and want to be part of the in crowd.

We all make mistakes in our youth and this also applies to wearing pieces of handmade jewellery as these young people may not have fully developed their own sense of style and what suits them and will wear handmade jewellery that is in fashion and not pieces that suit them. They may not be able to accessories these pieces with the correct pieces of clothing and may put together colours that clash but that does not matter as they are young and learning and as long as they enjoy wearing these young and funky designs that is all that matters. It takes time to develop a sense of style and learn what suits us.
