Lil Wayne gets personal for a second on "Mirror" when he drops a bar about his dad. Weezy adding vulnerability on the track was a success and it paid off. The song debuted at number twenty-two and peaked at number sixteen on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and in Flanders, Belgium it debuted at number one in the Ultratop. The song also peaked at number twenty-five in the US Billboard Rap Songs chart; it reached number six in the Official Charts Company UK R&B chart and made appearances in Australian and Danish charts. "Mirror" also got certified platinum in Australia and double-platinum in Denmark.

The official music video for "Mirror" was directed by Antoine Fuqua who has directed films like Training Day and Shooter. A teaser version of the video was released on VEVO and YouTube on January 27, 2012. However, the full length version premiered on VEVO's official site just four days after the teaser release. The video matches the dark and serious energy on the track. It begin with close-up shots of Wayne's many tattoos that speak about him such as having "Fear" on one eyelid and "God" one the other one. When the hook begins Weezy is shown painting a wall in red and Bruno Mars is shown singing with a serious and preoccupied look on his face. The video is based around the painting Wayne is creating and at the end it's revealed that the painting is Lil Wayne crucified.
