subject: Webinar On taking Your Brand Mobile: To App Or Not To App? From Itxpertpanel [print this page] Description: Description:
Few gadgets have seen the kind of growth as smartphones. To even say that they have grown exponentially is to make an understatement. And the best is yet to come, because it is forecast that by 2019, smartphones will be the only phones in the market. With this product, a byproduct that has grown as fast is apps.
In fact, apps and smartphones have triggered the chicken-and-egg debate: It is difficult to say whether it is smartphones that have brought about the growth of apps or vice versa. One small indication of the extent to which apps have exploded into the market is that by the end of 2011; in terms of revenue, the aftermarket for Apple iOS device (i.e. iPhone, iPod, iPad) accessories exceeded that of the rest of the market combined.
So, arent we looking at the big pie? How do companies that are in the mobile industry start monetization? There is a nearly inestimable and growing market for apps and smartphones that is there to be tapped by established and new entrants alike.
This webinar will give insights into how to formulate the monetization process for the mobile industry, driven primarily by the smartphone and apps markets. It will impart lessons from what has worked and what has not for other brands, when they did not get the mobile channel right.
