BARFI is marked as Bollywood debut of south Indian actress Ileana DCruz. Its an Indian romantic comedy movie which conveys the story of a dumb and deaf boy, lives in Darjeeling and his relation with two girls one of them is autistic and this role is played by Priyanka Chopra; it is a unique love triangle made on the budget of 30 crores released on September 14 across 1300 screens in India.
BARFI has enumerated Rs. 34.6 crores all through its opening week and cumulated a sum of Rs. 58.6 crores terminated the first week and stagnant going solid at the ticket window, and till date it has crossed 100 crores.

He started his career by giving a debut in Saawariya directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali in 2007, he was titled as a towel boy and he won Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Later on he played very challenging roles in different movies and gave his best for which he was awarded by Filmfare Critics Award for best actor. A role played in the film Rajneeti of an aspiring politician is his biggest commercial success to date and now his movie BARFI is nominated for Oscars which is biggest award of his lifetime.
BARFI is selected for a nominee of 85th Academy Awards in February 2013 as Indias official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film nomination. This movie is Priyankas second ton this year after Agneepath. This movie is admired for showing optimistic interpretation of differently abled films. Aamir Khan who is currently busy in shooting for DHOOM: 3 in Chicago has shown a keen interest in watching the movie BARFI and requested UTV Motion Pictures to arrange a special screening of this movie for himself and his crew members.
