subject: Live In Peace And Quiet With Professional Community Association Management [print this page]

Anyone who is lived in a condo knows that it has its pluses and minuses. While it can be an overall pleasant experience, if the property is not really run or managed, it can lead to a lot of unnecessary troubles and complications. Condos are usually organized so that each of the owners of an apartment has the ability to be heard in a public forum. Most often, the condo owners elect a Board of Directors from amongst their own. People have the time and willingness to help manage the affairs of the entire building, for the common good. The Board of Directors that is in charge of hiring the proper community association management team to ensure that all of the needs of the building and individual condo owners are addressed and taken care of.

If any individual condo owner has a specific problem or issue that they want addressed, they will typically go to one of their board members and explain their problem or concern. This board member will then contact the property management firm who has been tasked with maintaining the building, and relay this information. What distinguishes a truly professional property management firm from the rest is how quickly they respond and react to the condos needs. Obviously, some issues can be addressed sooner than others and some may have a higher priority than others. A broken latch on the front door to the condo is going to be a top priority, something that has to be addressed and repaired immediately. Adding more chlorine to the community pool is something that may have to wait a day before being accomplished. Especially in dense urban areas, most condo owners have similar top concerns. Typically, they are about safety and security, followed by cleanliness and an overall neat and tidy appearance to the public areas of the condo itself. A good property management firm will know how to focus on these areas, making sure these items are addressed all the time. It might involve having security guards on the grounds or in the building 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It might require increasing the number of times a week that the garbage collection service comes by. It might also involve replacing or augmenting the cleaning service that is tasked with keeping the grounds clean. What is important is that the property management firm respond quickly and decisively to any needs that the condo association and its members might have.
