Types of Quadrilaterals:

There are lots of shapes in quadrilaterals. Some of the shapes are defined below:

Trapezoid In these quadrilaterals the sides are identical and the opposite sides are equivalent but its unequal. The perimeter is the amount of all its four sides and the sides are not equal.

Parallelogram In these quadrilaterals, the contradictory sides are equivalent. Perimeter is the amount of all its sides.

Rhombus In these rhombus quadrilaterals, the all sides are equal.

Rectangle The pairs of opposite sides are similar to each other. Hence it is a four-sided figure but in this calculation each of its angles is a right angle.

Square It have equal sides and same length of sides

The trapezoids perimeter is,

P= s1 + s2 + s3 + s4.

Where, s is denoted the surface.

Parallelogram:

The perimeter of parallelogram is,

P = 2b + 2c.

Where b, c are indicates the Length of side.

Rhombus:

The perimeter of Rhombus is,

P=4*s.

Where, Surface is denoted by s.

Square:

The squares perimeter is calculated by,

P=4*s.

Where, s is denoting the sides of the square.

Examples:

Example 1:

The measure of side of a square is 5 inches. Measure the perimeter of square.

The squares Perimeter = 4*a.

Here,a is denoted by side.

So perimeter = 4*(5)

= 20 inch.

So the perimeter of square is 20inches.

Example 2:

The length and width of a rectangle measures 12 ft, 5 ft. Measure the perimeter of the given rectangle.

The formula for rectangles perimeter = 2 *(L + W).

Length = 12 ft.

Width = 5 ft.

So perimeter of rectangle is= 2 *(12 + 5).

= 2 *(17).

= 34 ft.

So the perimeter of the rectangle is 34ft.
