subject: Resorts Near Mumbai For One Day Picnic [print this page] For the past ten years, Ive been in MumbaiFor the past ten years, Ive been in Mumbai. I never got the chance to go outside Maharashtra as all my relatives and friends are here. Their every function are held here, be it their wedding or engagement or their childs birthday party. I never thought about this until yesterday when I was in Panvel enjoying a picnic with friends at one of the famous resorts. It was my third time in this resort and I could easily say that there wouldnt be any resort left in and around Mumbai which I missed. Be it Thane, Kalyan, Karnala, Panvel or any other part I can easily say that Ive been to all resorts which are around Mumbai.
Yesterday as I mentioned earlier, I was in the resort with my friends enjoying a long weekend. Someone asked me why I never went out of Mumbai ever. It was a complete shocking question for me as I never thought it myself. My immediate reply was that I never got the opportunity and I never looked for it. The conversation ended there but the question kept popping over my mind. I know the answer which I gave was not right and it was just to end the conversation. I kept asking myself why I never went outside Mumbai. I pacified myself by stating that when everything is in here so what the use of going outside Mumbai is. I know that at least to make up my mind I need to take a venture out of Mumbai soon. Im still not sure where exactly I should plan my trip and with whom. All my trips were in resorts around Mumbai with college friends, office colleagues and society buddies. Some of my friends find it really shocking that Ive never been to Goa. Considering my lifestyle and easy go nature they think I might know each and every corner of Goa. All such things sometimes hurt me as Im not able to contribute to such talks as I hardly know anything about such places. I also remember times when some of my friends planned a trip to Jammu, but I couldnt join them as I was down with jaundice. Such things didnt matter then but now when they keep asking that you have been never to Mumbai, affects me. I seriously need to plan a trip outside Mumbai and I dont mind even going to any spiritual place.
Now Ive given myself a deadline about the same. This year I would surely undertake a jaunt outside Mumbai. It doesnt mean that I would stop venturing to spots near Mumbai. I still prefer one day picnic in resort near Mumbai as there are many options and are considerably affordable. So this year along with such one day picnic in and around Mumbai, I would surely go for a trip outside Mumbai. I can be 99% sure that the spot would be none other than Goa, as it is near to Mumbai and quite affordable when compared to other places in India.
