subject: Android Will Continue To Lead Ios And Windows Phone 8 [print this page]

Peoples disinterest for iPhone 5 and Windows Phone continues Android to dominate smartphone market for this year. It leads both software market and hardware market once again. It will further turn out to be gigantic if one more version of the OS is launched till the end of this quarter.

The new iPhone does not excite users for its software. It is the same old OS with minor innovations and updates that can hardly be useful for a regular user. The big, stimulating features are missing in iPhone 5. Yes, Apple has added an extra raw for icons, but does it excite? No, apparently not. Android still has many things that lack from iOS, and they are seriously much more important.

Apple has also not added anything new to hardware that can be known as a groundbreaking work. Yes, the size is increased, but does a 0.5-ince addition to the screen convenience users quickly replacing their 4S with the version 5? No, it does not. It is thinner and lighter, but it is again not a big deal, as it is thicker than the original RAZR. The Android powered Motorolas Droid RAZR M has bigger 4.3 inch screen in the same phone size.

Now, we come to Windows Phone 8 powered Lumia 920, the latest launch of Nokia in Lumia series. Microsoft and Nokia keep revising the same features. The new design is identical to the old one. You can hardly make difference between Lumia 900 and Lumia 920 for their body and design. Nokias previous Windows Phone range was a failure. It seems Nokia has lost all its charm. Nokia can still do better if it switches its platform to Android. It can hardly get its lost charisma without a leading OS like Android. Samsung became worlds leading mobile manufacturers, because it used Android OS in its devices.

It is safe to say that Android is not only a leading, but also the most advanced mobile operating system right now. It will further become strong if Google releases a new version of the OS. We can expect even more interesting and exciting features in the newer Android.

So for last few years, we are continuously seeing that iPhone and iOS keep falling, and Microsoft and Nokia keep trying to catch their shares. And in this tug of war between all, Android keeps winning the battle. It seems that we would soon see an Android-only smartphone world, because Google is too active to make Android the worlds only mobile operating system.
