subject: Data Governance And Information Quality In The Age Of Privacy - Webinar By Itxpertpanel [print this page] Given that in recent days it has emerged that Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook who famously declared Privacy to be an outmoded concept, has secured patents on mechanisms for people to control how their personal data is shared and with whom it is clear that there is a significant momentum for change developing.
This webinar explores the relationship between Information Quality Management, Data Governance, and the standards and practices required for effective Data Protection Compliance.Attendees will gain insights into the specific areas of overlap and develop an understanding of how a holistic approach that treats Information as an Asset can allow them to meet current and emerging requirements and standards in this rapidly evolving area.
Why should you attend: Data Privacy is a big issue that is getting bigger. And its scope goes beyond just the simple questions of whether you are keeping information you hold about people safe and secure. Increasingly, the global consensus is that you need to be thinking about:
How you got that data
What you can use it for
Who you can share it with
Where in the world you can transfer it and store it
This webinar provides insights into how organisations can take advantage of the disciplines, approaches, and tools already in their Data Governance and Information Quality arsenals to meet the needs of Data Privacy regulations for today and into the future. For attendees with a Data Governance or Information Quality programme that is stalled or needs to be reinvigorated, this webinar will help you identify the role of your team in driving Data Protection/Privacy compliance through the organization.
