subject: How To Pass The Time While Waiting For A Pizza Delivery [print this page]

Waiting for the pizza delivery worker to arrive can sometimes cause people to become impatient. This is especially true for children. Sometimes, they will nag and aggravate their parents until the food comes. On the other hand, they may run back and forth to the window, as they await the worker's arrival. Waiting for the food can be just as annoying for parents as it can be for the children. This isn't necessarily because they don't have the patience to wait, but it's because they may become annoyed with the constant nagging of their children.

So, the best thing to do in this case is for parents to come up with unique ways to keep their kids occupied while they wait for the arrival of the pizza delivery worker. This way, the children will be satisfied and the parents can have peace of mind.

One of the things parents can do is turn the waiting time into some sort of game. For instance, depending on how young their children are they can have them count the cars outside as they pass or they can name the colors of the vehicles and keep talking. If the children are older, this type of thing might not work. So, a parent may want to take another course of action for those who are in their pre-teen years.

For instance, they may be interested in watching one of their favorite movies. Although they may not finish the entire movie while they wait, this activity will help to pass the time. They may become so fixated on the movie that they forget they are even waiting for a pizza delivery. If there aren't any good movies in the home, they can always find an interesting television show.

Another activity children may be interested in during their wait is board games. If there is more than one child in the family, the children can play together. On the other hand, if there is just one child the parents can join in. Good came choices include Monopoly or Checkers. Not only would this help pass the time, but this particular activity would also create an opportunity for family bonding time.

Sometimes, it can take 45 minutes to an hour for a pizza delivery to arrive. So, it's understandable when people, especially children, get impatient during their wait. The good news is that there are activities they can participate in that will help keep them occupied while they wait.
