Once you find some apartments you like, set up times to go and see it. Some people don't do this and just go by what it looks like online and is surprised when they see it in person. You want to actually step foot into the apartment to make sure it is the right fit for you. Also make sure that you setup appointments to see at least three of them so you get a better feel of the market. Don't decide on the first apartment you see as there could be better things on the market that fit your needs. Once you have the appointments setup and actually start visiting some of the places, make sure you ask a lot of questions about it and see if there are any potential problems. The more questions you can ask, the better.
