subject: Review Of The Hyundai Elantra 2013 [print this page]

The all new Hyundai Elantra 2013is a compact two door coupe from the Korean automobile giant Hyundai. This car is more sleek and compact than the earlier model of the Elantra and than the current model Elantra GT (hatchback) that was launched at the same time. The success of the car design is that in spite of being extremely stylish and sleek it manages to give a pretty good mileage. Here are the details of its features.

Exterior

The 2013 Hyundai Elantrahas a very smooth fluid design and is perfectly balanced which is a cause of envy for its competitors. Many experts suggest that the design of any car specifically a coupe or sedan should be such that even in static condition it appears to be moving. This coupe is well designed that from most angles it appears to be in motion. The car has to be given credit for the details of its design. The front grilles with the logo and the front lamps are extended up to the line of the front-wheel center. The windshield is also very steep and gives the car a sporty and edgy look. A deep crease beautifully broadens from behind the front lamps and up to the C-pillar. The twin chrome exhaust pipes just add to the overall fling of the car.

Interior

The interiors are as stunning as the exterior appearance. The hourglass shaped console looks really impressive which has a host of different features but does not decrease the leg space. The seats are also given a sporty look with full leather covers. Although the head space of the rear is decreased a bit but still its more than its closest competitor.

Engine and Performance

The vehicle is powered by a strong 1.8Liter, 16 valve 4cylinder engine that is capable of producing a whooping 148 HP power and 131 Lb-ft of torque. The highway mileage of the coupe is about 40 miles per gallon which pretty good considering the style it offers. With the 6 speed manual or automatic transmission system the car is efficient for city as well as highway driving. But due to its throttle it lacks the rush and excitement of driving at some points. The engine weighs 2877 lb and performs extremely well during cornering and other city traffic conditions. The transmission system makes the ride very comfortable, smooth but maybe a little bit more excitement would be great.
