A new season of Dancing with the Stars has kicked off last night.

JudgesCarrie Ann Inaba, Len GoodmanandBruno Tonioliwere back at the judges desk once again to kick off the 10 weeks of competition.

The judgings going to be a little bit tougher,warned Len, because, after all, everyone has danced before. He announced a big change: Judges will include half points!

And for last nights dance, the contestants had three weeks to prepare as opposed to two days.

Joey Fatone andKym Johnson:What was good has gotta be great, and what was great, has to be exceptional, judgeLen Goodmansaid.

Shawn Johnsonand Derek Hough:Shawn and Derek showed us what All-Star season is all about, asCarrie Ann Inabaput it.

Sabrina Bryan and Louis Van Amstel:You came with a fire under your boot-ay, Inaba commented, but added that sometimes Sabrina can overdance.

Hlio Castroneves and Chelsie Hightower:Goodman said their foxtrot was a joy to watch.

Pamela Anderson and Tristan Macmanus:There wasnt enough work there for me to praise you,BrunoToniolitold them.

Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani:Your lines are gorgeous, your extensions are fabulous, Carrie said, and Bruno added, You actually got stronger, sassier and sexier!

Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff:Is it just me or did you just get 3,000 times more sexy? a blushing Inaba asked.

Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd:Inaba called their foxtrot, poetic and gorgeous, and referring to last nights Emmy Awards she said, Jon Hammdidnt win last night becauseGilles Marinihad to come out and win it tonight.

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas:Inaba said Bristol was the most improved and Len noted her new found confidence.

Drew Lachey and Anna Trebunskaya:Although Len mentioned he was a bit rigid, Bruno added thatit looked like you guys danced with each other forever.

Kelly Monaco and Valentin Chmerkovskiy:You two have insane chemistry, its ridiculous, Carrie told the twosome, who scored a 21.5.

Kirstie Alley and MaksimChmerkovskiy: According to Len, Kirsties fierce personality took over right away, but her foxtrot needed refining. Nonetheless, Alley left the dance floor after giving a big kiss to hostTom Bergeron. Thats for your Emmy, she said.

Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke:After performing the last dance of the evening and the best, according to Len, Emmitt and Cheryls cha-cha snagged a 24.5. What a dance that was!
