Agra, the fame city, that houses the Taj mahal, appears mesmerizing as the taj is situated at the bank of river Yamuna. Guwahati is the largest city in the state of Assam. It is situated in between the southern bank of river Brahmaputra and the foothills of the shilling plateau. It is a trans-boundary river and one of the major rivers of Asia. Surat in Gujarat has the Tapti River in its account. Kolkata in west Bengal houses the Hooghly River and is very famous as the imperial city has an aura of grandness and the sparkling river flowing under the famous bridge Howrah makes the city as a jewel on the face of earth.

Lucknow is the largest and the capital city of Uttar Pradesh. Gomti river flows from the city making it appear more beautiful. There are several tributaries of the river flowing throughout the city. Ahmedabad houses the famous river Sabarmati; the name got highlighted during the freedom struggle period.
