promotional video, described by many newspapers as shocking. Bar

Refaeli does not stop being at the center of the gossip talks,

although she's far away from the catwalk.

The said spot is related to the launch of the app MyCheck, which

calculates the bill every time you go to dinner at a restaurant, and

avoid nasty surprises at checkout. The app was developed and marketed

by an Israeli company, which has decided to rely on the beauty of the

most popular supermodel of the moment for the app's upcoming promotion

in the US and UK: in the roughly two-minute clip, the protagonist Bar

Refaeli features as the victim of heavy stalker-level interest by the

waiter, who begins trying to win her over. When Bar refuses to pay the

restaurant bill, the waiter drugs her and takes her to a dark room

full of women who are bound and gagged, and starts sharpening a

butcher knife, just like in a thriller movie.

The ad has received a lot of criticism in the Israeli media:

therefore, at very short notice, the company has been forced to upload

to YouTube a new version without the disturbing the final seconds. One

could be wondering what the star of this commercial, Bar Refaeli,

thinks about the scandal caused by this video that seems to clash with

her glamourous life: she was, in fact, spotted at Novikov in London a

few months ago, and she is known for enjoying the high-end life of

restaurants and VIP evenings, as evidenced by her photos on twitter

and on several gossip magazines. No doubt she has downloaded the app!
