For photographers, know what lenses will we use is a must. Here are some kinds of lens that you certainly would often hear when learning photography:
Fixed lens (Prime Lens)
Fixed lens is a lens that recommended owned by the photographer. For those who are still learning photography, lenses of this type is still not too mandatory. Fixed lens has a focal range and usually used to take portrait pictures or models. Often fixed lens that used are: 50 mm, 85 mm, and 135 mm.
Standard lens
Some people called it with kit lens because usually inherited from the camera. Standard Lens has focal range between 16-85 mm. This lens will also be quite familiar that you still learning photography.
Wide Lens
Just like its name, this lens can capture images in wide range. Usually wide lens used by many photographers to take pictures related with scenery or architecture. Most commonly used Wide lenses are type of fisheye that can capture images in the left and right side of the camera. This type of lens will be very useful if you've learned photography at advanced stage.
Tele lens
Tele lens use to take pictures at distant, so we can get a better closely photo. Usually this lens use to take sports moments, wildlife, or coverage that requires the photographer to be at distances from the object (if the photographer try to take photo closely that can harm for the photographer). Tele lens that equipped with stabilization is recommended for you who are still new in photography. This is because using tele lens will surely quite heavy. Image stabilization will help you to get a focus picture even you often move your hand when taking a picture.
Macro lens
For you who want to take a close photo using small object, you will surely need macro lens. By using this lens, you can take clear and sharp photo of an ant, flower, or other small object. Macro photography nowadays becomes very popular and favorite of many new photographers before start to choose another photography area. This is because macro photography related with static object and we only focus in those objects.
By knowing many lens type, at least we already learn something new that actually to create a great and clear photo, besides our feeling we will need some different lenses. Each lens can be perfect if we use it to capture a right object.
