Cars will be more compact and travel will be extremely efficient. It appears the world is naturally headed towards the future envisioned by scores of authors, artists, directors and dreamers, and manufacturers showed us why at this years LA Auto Show. The LA Auto Shows Design Challenge revealed a number of exciting, strange and unique vehicles in the Youthmobile 2030 category, a competition which pitted manufacturers against each other to design the kind of car tomorrows youth will crave.
The winning entry excited NJ Nissan dealers across the state. For 2009, the Nissan Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) concept won the Youthmobile 2010 honor. Not only was the V2G the most feasible and efficient of the entrants, but it was also one of thewellcoolest looking contest cars. The concept behind the V2G is a nationwide electric highway system called the grid where car owners would pay for using the grid the same way you pay for a mobile phone plan. The innovative idea has set your Nissan dealer in NJ into a frenzy.
While the concept doesnt offer potential car buyers much in the way of variety, the efficiency factor is significant. The V2G concept is also very inexpensive to run another huge selling point for the innovative idea. Convoys of V2Gs can gather together in flocks, or interlocked formation. While this innovation is still years away from consideration, you can find some of that same ingenuity in vehicles that are available at your NJ Nissan dealership.
Vehicles like the Nissan Altima or Maxima are staples of the automotive market that provide ample functionality, great style and solid dependability at an affordable price. Its not a surprise that a manufacturer with the reputation of Nissan would be behind one of the coolest future concepts the auto industry has seen yet. While we wont be seeing this concept put into production for awhile, your Nissan dealer in NJ is excited for the future.
Whats really exciting about this concept car is its efficiency. Obviously, this vehicle is probably far from what will eventually materialize from the concept, but its a good indicator of the direction the car market is headed over the next couple of years. NJ Nissan auto parts dealers are excited to get in on the new technological revolution.
For the Youthmobile 2030 competition, judges took a look at some other innovative designs from manufacturers like Audi, General Motors, Honda and Mazda, but the Nissan V2G was the clear winner due to its focus on integration and environmental factors.
"The scope of this year's concepts and designs from the initial sketches to the final presentations were very impressive," said Chuck Pelly, director of Design Los Angeles and partner in The Design Academy, Inc. "In the end, it came down to which team had the most inventive and solution-oriented design. Nissan's designers showed passion and were able to create the ultimate Youthmobile for 2030 with their V2G design."
While NJ Nissan auto parts stores are still in this decade, the future is coming.
