The most important thing about this is that rather than moan and grumble about the fluctuating weather and cold, it is best to get stuck in and make sure that your outdoor experience is an enjoyable one. This is the case, even if the farthest you are going to venture in inclement weather is to your local village shops to collect the newspaper. It is no good chancing it because as soon as you do that you know what is going to happen. The rain will bucket and you will be caught out drenched, unhappy, beginning to sneeze and on your way to getting a heavy cold.
The way to enjoy being outdoors and breathing in the fresh health giving air is to feel warm and comfortable. This does not mean wearing the quotidian of dull, frumpy jackets that you would rather stay indoors and wear or makes you feel like braving the cold weather in a t-shirt in preference. You need to feel comfy and look great and fortunately there are a number of superb manufacturers and designers who have managed to achieve this and keep prices to an affordable level. A good jacket may have a good fleece lining for those extra bitter days, when the winds blast down from the north and it will insulate too, keeping you watertight dry. If you are going abroad you will also need a strong weatherproof jacket. After all, it is not just Britain that gets the sudden downpours; you can be caught out in most countries in the world.
