subject: The Ambiguity About Missing Plug-ins In Internet Explorer 9 [print this page]

Have you downloaded Internet Explorer 9? And are you facing the problem of missing toolbar in IE9? Then this article is for you. Well, the Internet Explorer 9 hides a certain essentials like menu bar in order to give more canvas space to the user. For the same reason the toolbar might not be showing up. Or you might have forgotten to enable the toolbar after installation.

To check the IE plug-ins, you can right click on the title bar or on the address bar. The context menu opens up showing the tools available with the browser. Tick the toolbar you want from the displayed image so that the toolbar becomes visible on the IE 9 browser. If its still not showing up, restart the browser. You can also check the Manage Add-ons dialog to verify whether the tool is disabled by some IE component.

Predominantly there are two reasons for invisibility of IE 9 toolbar. First, the toolbar might not be properly installed. Second, the toolbar has a compatibility issue with IE9. This discrepancy of IE plugins development for its latest version is creating many problems for the user. But the issue can be sorted out by checking and repairing the reasons for this unusual behavior of IE.

Following things can be done to get IE 9 toolbar:

To verify the compatibility issue check the toolbar documentation.

Download another installation package for the IE 9 toolbar.

Stop the Antivirus before installing the new package.

Then install the toolbar

After installation if its still not visible, go to the context menu by clicking on the title bar and enable it. You can also get the context menu by clicking the empty space of the address bar.

This procedure would help to get back the missing toolbar but if the toolbar is not compatible with IE9, the chances of getting it are rare. For this we have to wait for another patch of IE9 which sorts out this problem. Another issue which doesn't work in favor of IE 9 is its inability to display Java Scripts and Flash content. However, some sites continue to face the compatibility issue in IE9.

If the website is not compatible with IE 9, then you have to add it in the compatibility list of IE 9 browser. Microsoft keeps adding new websites to its compatibility list but your site might not be in its list and so you can do it on your own. You can also hire IE toolbar developer who can change the code of the website (if its your own site) to make it compatible with the IE 9 version.

How to add website to the compatibility view?

Press Alt + T+ B to open the dialog box for compatibility view settings.

Here type the name of the website you want to make compatible with IE 9.

Click the Add button and then the Close button.

This small process would make the site visible on your IE 9 web browser. So, these are certain repair works we suggest you to rule out the issues of invisible plug-ins and incompatible websites on the IE 9 browser. I hope these tips help you to amend your IE9 browser.
