Nanital is a very famous hill station here in northern region people from Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, NCR comes here very frequently. I myself used to visit quiet often; in every 3-4 months I plan a trip over here with my colleagues or family members. There are many tourist places in nainital, which attract the tourists too much. There is a football ground at the centre of the city usually the local boys plays hockey over there most of the time near to that there holy place of Sikhs over there (Gurudwara, there is a market of Bhutanese over there; they used to sell many things ranging from woolen and usual garments, electronic appliances, battery operated appliances, mobile phones, wrist watches and even toys and games for children and many more. There you will find awesome food joints, there is a food joint in front of the Gurudwara andnear to that football ground, and he used to sell momos both vegetarian and non-vegetarian and believe me they are the best momos I have eaten on this earth.
Most of the tourist comes over there in summers, because in North summer is very painful and people want chill and relax due to which they prefer to go to hill stations for vacations, people come here to enjoy their summer holidays when their children have vacations in the schools . For stay in peak season over there you will get hotel rooms at very high price and that even too if you are lucky you will get the room in the hotels that are on the mall road or near to the mall road, otherwise you will get the hotels on much heights that are far to the mall road and also you will not get the view of the lake which is parallel to the mall road over there. Usually the price of the hotels over there in peak season is 6-7 times as compared to off season. There are many good resorts and good hotels; even there are boutique hotels over there with all the major amenities like AC and WiFi. Even there you can find budget hotels and cheap hotels according to your pocket. There you can even find some serviced apartments and even guesthouses; in fact there are many guesthouses over there.
