subject: Can Amazons Kindle Fire Outdo Android Development In The Long Run? [print this page]

The question that most seem to be debating is weather a new Amazon Kindle Fire beat Android development enabled Nexus 7. One of the opinions that seem to exist is that even though Amazon may have hardware specs similar to Nexus 7, it would definitely need something more to make Kindle Fire 2 to make it big. Where hardware is concerned Amazon would need to ensure it offers better display than Android development enabled Nexus 7 so that it looks like more of a device for readers. Another aspect they would need to look into is also ensure that they manage to increase the perks especially for prime subscribers and also ensure they get more customer access, that can be in a form of large Amazon video library.

Once the Kindle Fire was launched in the market, it seemed that Amazon ensured that it featured a superior display than the Nexus 7 and that all the models offer support for ads. Also, one cannot miss out on the fact that the price of the lowest-end device is also cheaper than any of its competitors offering 7 display and with similar specifications.

Even though Android developers are always discovering newer ways of creating unique Android development applications, one has to admit to the fact that the user interface and design of Amazons Kindler is quite distinctively unique and different. In many ways Amazon is not affected by a number of issues that Google may have to face in regard to Android development. Amazon does seem to offer a more enhanced level of content and ecommerce ecosystem. Since Amazon is also considered the largest retailer on the Internet, it does represent an important sales channel for Apple. Even though Kindle Fire runs on Android development and Android apps developed by Android developers are used, hence Amazon does depend on Google to create open source version of Android development that would form content delivery platform on the Kindle Fire. This makes it quite evident that Amazon at the end of the day does depend on Android development to provide them with a robust applications platform. Android developers will thereby be intricately involved with the development of Android apps that are used in Amazon Kindle Fire.

However in the long run or the near future, the kind of changes that Google might decide to adopt in regard to defending their own products or keeping their OEMs out of any legal hassle, will hardly have any kind of impact on Kindle Fire.

What this means is that even in the worst of situations, Android development may not be considered as part of Google as a result the company may bring an end to all the software development. Despite this aspect, it is still possible for Amazon to create there own version based on the Open Source AOSP code and also remove any kind of infringement. But this is a possibility that might happen in the future, today the fact remains that Amazon is dependent on Android development for their open source platform.
