"Fake SMSes about northeastern people being targeted in Delhi, particularly after Ramzan, are being circulated. Do not believe them. Situation is normal. There is no violence against people from northeast," Robin Hibu, Joint Commissioner of Police, said. He also said in his statements that Delhi Police has reviewed the security for northeastern people living in Delhi along with senior officials at district level, and also with Special Branch and mobile PCR staff.
