subject: Ios Development Device Airplay Can Now Function Without Wi-fi [print this page]

iOS development is very soon to come out with AirPlay update that would enable iPhone application development devices to send audio to speakers without a Wi-Fi network.

The Telegraph reported that Apple is going to very soon announce the update to its AirPlay technology at the up coming event on September 12 when the next generation of iPhone will be launched. It is not known what the new phone will be called but everyone is aware that the next generation of iPhone is being released. In the same way, the name of th updated technology of IOS development is still unknown, however, there is speculation it could be known as AirPlay Direct. Irrespective of whatever name Apple may choose to name its product, one aspect is clear that AirPlay should enable OS X and iOS development devices to stream songs through the nearby AirPlay certified speakers without any kind of wi-fi connection or physical connection.

In all probability advanced technology will be used to create Wi-Fi Direct that allows point-to-point wireless connection without a wireless access point. Apparently, Apple is planning to change the way its dock connector works because it intends to remove the third-party hardware that accompanies the dock connector. It is hoping to introduce speakers with a separate wi-fi connection that would any day boost the sales of hardware. The timing of the release of this particular IOS development device seems to intentionally coincide with the upcoming festive season. Undoubtedly, Apple hopes the festive season will increase the sales of AirPlay. The name of the updated version remains a mystery and knowing Apple it will only be unveiled at the launch of the device. Some say it may be called AirPlay Direct, however one is still not sure on what this IOS development device would finally be christened with. Only time can tell.

Android users are able to stream songs audio devices that are compatible with Bluetooth. IOS application development users could also do something similar with the use IOS development app called Airfloil Speakers Touch 3. This IOS development app was designed to get AirPlay audio from any IOS development device or even iTunes and play it. But sometime in June this app was removed from the Apple store and the company cited rules violations as the reason. The software company Rogue Amoeba also removed the feature, which could allow receiving of audio from IOS or ITunes. There can be many reasons for taking this step and one of them seems to be that using this application meant that users could forgo the purchase of AirPlay hardware that Apple licenses.

Hence, if AirPlay is being updated right now, then Apple is definitely looking to ensure its technology is more competitive with other protocols such as Bluetooth, DNLA or KleerNet. It is definitely clear that Apple would like to compete with other technologies available in the market but it definitely prefers to do it on its own terms. This would definitely bring about a series of changes in IOS application development.
