subject: Celebrating A Life Well Lived [print this page]

When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. Author Unknown.

Think of a time when you have lost a loved one. The immediate shock followed by deep emotional devastation result in a feeling of time standing still. Is it possible that this is the gift of grief, which teaches us to stop, to breathe, and to focus on the moment? Maybe what we really need to learn from death is a deep gratitude for life. Appreciation for the blessing of life then translates into newfound commitment to living our own lives as fully and as well as we possibly can. It becomes clearer that every action, every thought and every gesture we make has consequence in the grand tally of our lives. Through kindness, achievement, inspiration, and above all love, we create something tangible for those we leave behind we leave memories in this world when we go to the mystery of the other side. Its through living well ourselves that we can find a path to honoring the lives of our forebears. When we lose a loved one, the process of grief requires that we mourn the loss, but we can also move into a redirection of our own lives. We are able to celebrate the beauty of a life well lived, and be mindful that our own lives will one day be celebrated too.

We can find comfort in honoring our loved one with a meaningful funeral service and final resting place. Whether we choose a lovely grave setting, a fine cremation urn, or a scattering ceremony with a small keepsake memento, there can be solace in preparing a beautiful life celebration. Among many necessary funeral arrangements is finding a fitting memorial as a focal point for remembrance. If your family has chosen burial, a casket purchase is usually made through the funeral home. If cremation is chosen, you will need to search out an urn, which can be found either at your funeral home, or online. One can get an idea of the variety of urns available by doing a simple Google search. Simply type in an online search that includes what you are looking for and your general location, such as cremation urns New York, pet urns San Jose, cremation jewelry Chicago, quality infant cremation urns, or Los Angeles cremation urns, and then click on the Images tab Googles Images button is located in the upper left corner of the screen. Here you can peruse many images to find an urn that befits the spirit of your loved one.

The loss of a love one is never easy, but celebrating their life through memories and reminiscence can be an avenue to healing. And by taking inspiration from a life well lived, we cannot help but strive to become better ourselves.
