If you dont live in the New England area, it will take some planning on your part before you head out. There may be areas between you and there that have snow by the time you head out. Chains are a great idea to keep with you when you think that snow is going to be in your forecast. They will help to get you out of many a terrible situation. Decide how long you will be gone, the most beautiful colors there will develop in October. The more north you go, the earlier they change. Once you have your itinerary in mind, write it down and map it out. Do some homework on the best sites to camp in or the ones that allow boondocking. You will be much more comfortable in an RV the colder it gets.
Some of the most calming and emotional photos stem from the seasonal outdoors. An RV vacation spent seeing and photographing the fall colors will bring a new element to your home when put up on canvas or in large frames. The light is golden and warm, the colors are bright and inviting. And couple that against the crisp blue of the autumn sky, you have pictures that will make you want to go back every year and start a new tradition. Pack your bags in anticipation of inclement weather and cross your fingers for pleasant forecasts. Bring some of your winter gear in case it turns ugly on you in a hurry and although you are packing as light as possible, bring extra snack foods and water to be prepared for a crisis.
