Badminton is a game which is played between the two teams. This game can be played in both singles and doubles. Singles mean two opposing players playing against each other and doubles mean the two opposing pairs playing against each other. The game is easy but involves a lot of energy to be invested. In this game players get points when they strike the shuttlecock from the badminton racket to the opposing partners part of the court. Badminton is the game which was first placed in ancient Greece and Egypt, since then the game has gained popularity and is now being played around the world by so many champions, and professionals. The game was adopted by the Britishers in 1860s and since then a lot of things have been changed in the game. The rackets designing were changed so as to improve the speed of the game. Here is how the badminton rackets evolved-

Early Badminton Rackets

The game Badminton was evolved from the childrens game Poona. The game Poona was developed from a sport called Battledore and Shuttlecock. In this game you need to volley the shuttlecock as long as possible with a paddle called Battledore. It is a non-competitive game, but anyway helped the people to get an amazing game of Badminton. The game Poona was played without the net and it was a cooperative game.

Badminton Rackets Frames

You do not know this that the Badminton rackets earlier had wooden frames. The wooden frames were heavy and players did not enjoy playing with them a lot. That is why aluminum frames were introduced. They are light in weight and help a lot to increase the players' speed on the court. The players started to perform better and demanded lighter version in Badminton rackets. Later on, the rackets started to become of carbon fiber composite material so that the rackets become lighter and the players start to enjoy and perform better in the game. You can buy badminton rackets in light weight, as most of the people who learn to play Badminton use these light weight rackets from the very beginning.

Badminton Racket Head Shape

Earlier, the rackets used to have oval shapes but it has given way to other shapes such as isometric, diamond, and tear-shaped. These shapes have delivered space to the rackets which is known as the sweet spot. When the shuttlecock gets hit powerfully by this area, it goes in a good speed and hits the other half of the court beautifully. So, buy Badminton rackets which have a solid grip and are light in weight.

Badminton Racket Strings

Originally, the strings of the badminton racket were made from the natural animal gut. But later on, in order to improve the string tension and speed of the game, companies started to make Badminton strings with synthetic material like nylon. This material is cheap and provides the same quality and strength like the natural strings. Therefore, you can buy Badminton rackets which have strings made up of Nylon or any other synthetic material.
