Andaman Nicobar Islands are a cluster of 572 islands. These islands are approximately 1000 miles far from Indian subcontinent. For Indians, no permission, visa or passport is required to reach there. These islands are archipelago of approximately 600 islands, rocks and islets. These islands have sandy beaches, mangroves, littoral forests, shallow seas and coral reefs. Overall area of these islands is more than 8000 sq km. Nearly 6000 sq km area comes under Andaman region and rest of the area is under Nicobar. Andaman is the only place in India where people belonging to traditional tribal groups live together. There is no risk of terrorism and these islands are absolutely safe. It is simply amazing that these islands have witnessed immense growth in various sectors and education is one of them. In past, these islands have remained untouched from the entire world.

There is no lack of companies in Andaman that offer all kinds of fishing equipments. Many companies also offer fishing services. Any foreigner can change currency at Port Blair airport. These islands are the only location in India which offers Scuba Diving. Certified scuba divers are available for untrained divers. Snorkeling is a water activity that does not require swimming skills. There are so many places in these islands which are considered to be best for this activity. Game fishing is an eminent sport of Andaman. Havelock Island is an eye-catchy island which is popular among Indians and international voyagers and it is near Port Blair. Shimmering water around this island is home to turtles, dolphins and fishes. For those who want a spectacular view of sunrise and sunset, visiting Havelock Island would be a smart move. It offers activities like beach camping, surfing, sunbathing and swimming.

Wandoor National Park is another name of Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park. After islands and beaches, it is the most fascinating place. Various divers from foreign countries visit this park to practice scuba diving. Smith Island is a fabulous island. It is twin Island of Ross Island and is connected to it through majestic and grand sand bar. Twin islands are far away from hustle and bustle of big towns and cities. Ross and Smith islands have lush green palm trees which are widespread on seashores. Forest museum is situated at Haddo and it focuses on forestry. It is managed by Government and Forest department of these islands. The museum displays interesting things made up of timber and wood. Satin wood, paduak, oak and gurjan are few of them. Visitors can enhance their knowledge by viewing those things here which were used in past. This museum is open during all days of the week. Due to excessive sea breeze, weather remains pleasant throughout the year. Little Andaman Island covers an area of 750 sq. km and it is the fourth biggest island of Andaman island. It is famous for plantation. Neil Island is a magnificent island which is filled with natural beauty. It is an ideal picnic spot and has port blair resorts with tranquil and pristine beaches. Lakshmanpur, Bharatpur and Sitapur beaches are eye-catching. Hotels in Andamans are situated in preeminent locations from where it becomes easy for patrons to view sunset, sunrise and dazzling beaches.
