subject: How To Straight Your Wigs [print this page]

Expect for wetting and drying, there are another two way of achieving straight hair on your human hair wigs or synthetic wigs.

FLAT-IRONING AND ROLLER SETTING.

If the hair you are working with is human hair that is naturally curly, permed ,or simply has waves or kinks that you wish to remove, you can straighten it with either a float iron or with large rollers-rollers that are larger than one inch in diameter. The larger the roller, the straighter the hair will be. To flat-iron:

1. Make sure that the wig is securely blocked.

2. Wash and dry the hair so that it is totally dry. Apply a frizz-control hairstyling product.

3. Separate the hair into sections. Make two sections in the front by dividing the top across the head from ear to ear, where a headband would sit. Divide this section in half at the center front of your hairline.Make two more sections behind these two twisting it loosely and holding it with a lard duckbill clip.l Leave about two inches of the wig hanging down loose in the back.

4. Beginning with hair hanging down, take sections of hair slightly narrower than your flat iron and begin flat-ironing .Start at the root and drag the flat iron downward along the hair. Keep the iron moving-do not let it sit on a section of hair or you risk scorching the section of hair. There are usually specifically marked for this purpose and many of them help to protect the hair from the heat of the flat iron.

5. Continue ironing and smoothing sections of hair, working from the back of the head toward the front of the head.

6. Finish with a light coat of hairspray to hold the hair straight and control frizz.

You can also use a flat-iron on human hair that is naturally straight if you want the hair to b e super-sleek.

To roller-set the hair straight:

1.Make sure that the wig is securely blocked.

2.Wash the hair or wet it throughly, if the hair is already clean.

3.Take a section of hair at the center front and roll it on an extra-large roller. Secure the roller with a T-pin or corsage pin.

4. Continue rolling the hair on extra-large rollers, working from the front of the wig back toward the nape of the neck. Do this until all of the hair is rolled .The rollers should all remain parad to each other.

5.Put the wig into the wig dryer to dry.

6.Take the rollers out and brush through the hair This method does need yield super-straight hair, but instead hair that is mostly straight with a slight amount of bend. This is a more natural straight-hair look than one you will get from flat-ironing hair.

Correct way help you to achieve your purpose for straighting hair. Meanwhile, it make you to know more knowledge for caring for your hair.
