subject: Learn How To Play Minecraft Immediately After Reading This Article [print this page]

If you want to play Minecraft, but don't know where to start with the game, this is the guide for you. Minecraft is, on the face of it, a simple game. There are no real objectives, and your character is free to do as he pleases.

You'll be faced with a brand new world each time you start a new game on Minecraft. These random landscapes will be your new home. If you decide to explore this vast new world, you'll find a variety of different terrain, as well as a selection of different animals to interact with.

To put it simply, everything in Minecraft is made from basic blocks. The hills are made from mud blocks stacked on top of each other, and the sea is made from water blocks. This gives the game an unusual appearance, but you'll quickly get used to this. You can pick up any of the blocks by hitting them. This is fundamental, as it allows you to collect materials. By hitting the ground, you can construct a small mud hut to spend your first night in.

As the name suggests, mining is incredibly important in this game. You'll spend the majority of your time travelling across the world, excavating the landscape for different materials. You can use the blocks you gather to create tools and whatever buildings your imagination can dream up. The resources vary in quality, and some are harder to find than others. A tool made out of diamond will be virtually unbreakable, while you will only get a small amount of use out of a wooden one. As you might expect, wood is far easier to find than diamond.

It's not quite as simple as it sounds, however. At night, the idyllic world becomes dangerous for your character. A variety of creatures enter the game, and they will do their best to kill your character. For this reason, it's crucial that you are able to construct buildings.

The monsters are unable to enter sealed buildings, meaning you can take refuge inside until the morning. If you have created a bed, you can sleep in it, and the game will automatically take you to the monster free morning. You will need to create a source of light inside to keep your house safe, however.

Minecraft has spread onto a variety of platforms. Where once it was only available on PC, it can now be installed onto your smartphone or main games console. There are minor variations between the different versions, but these are unlikely to effect your enjoyment.

Minecraft is one of those games that has blossomed thanks to a dedicated community of players. The game has multi-player options, allowing you to visit and build structures in your friends' worlds. This adds an extra dimension to the game play, as you are able to collaborate on larger projects.

When you first play Minecraft, you may find yourself struggling to think of building ideas. If you are in this situation, the first thing you should do is look on the internet. Users have posted all kinds of videos featuring their lovingly crafted constructions. The time and energy that has been invested in some of these buildings is simply staggering, and you're bound to find some inspiration.
