It is always open and can provide customers a way to buy their products no matter where they are and no matter when it is. For my own business, without my website my sales would be close to nothing. When it comes to the design of your ecommerce website, there are some things that you should think about that can help improve your sites conversion rate. Here are some things to think about for the design of your site.

When it comes to the design of your ecommerce site, less is more. You sometimes visit sites where the page is so crowded with content that you don't know where to begin. You want to have content there but you don't want to much. You want to make the navigation of your site really simple so visitors can easily get from point A to point B and being able to find the products they are looking for. One way you can improve the navigation of your site is to add breadcrumbs to it. This basically is a set of links usually near the top of the page that shows the past links on the site and how you get there. This will not only improve your navigation but also help with your SEO. Another thing you will want to make sure you don't do is have to many images on a page. When you have a lot of images, the sites speed takes a hit and slows down. It is best to have a site that has a fast load time. Another tip you can use to improve your sites design is to make sure that you have good product descriptions for the products you sale. You need to do a good job of selling them and have good content about them will help your customers and again this content will help with your SEO effort. Also make sure that you have descriptive info in your pages title and description tags in the meta section.

These are just some simple tips to consider when designing your ecommerce site for your business.
