Newcastle upon Tyne is a vibrant and exciting city there are so many suburbs and surrounding areas that have new build developments well worth settling down in. Newcastle city is the perfect size because it is not too spread out although still big enough to get lost in. There is a wonderful sense of pride amongst the native Geordies (people from Newcastle) you cannot help but be drawn into city life with the sense of loyalty from the friendly faces. There is an extensive nightlife with something to suit everybody. There are plenty of art galleries and The Sage is a unique building that is home to music and international music situated on the River Tyne. The Tyne is also a central point to many very well-known pubs and nightclubs.
The beauty of the North East of England is that is it vastly under-populated in comparison to other parts of the UK. There are plenty of wide open spaces and even in the City centre you are never more than a ten minute drive to reach breath-taking coastline or rugged countryside. Driving in Newcastle and surrounding areas is relatively congestion free apart from perhaps from 8am 9am and from 5pm 6pm otherwise you can get from A to B in quite a short time.
Shopping in the North East is exemplary with the Metro Centre in Gateshead leading the way with a complete shopping experience to be had. Newcastle City Centre has Eldon Square and travelling further south to Sunderland or Durham plenty of high street chains and boutiques are situated in smaller Shopping Centres.
