Out-sole Characteristics

The out-sole of the shoe is the bottom of the shoes. Generally, shoes have two types of leather on the out-sole namely carbon and blown rubber. However, the quality of a running shoe is also determined from these rubbers. The carbon rubber is stiff and heavy in nature whereas blown rubber is lighter in weight, has a good cushion and is flexible in nature. If you would notice any good shoe will have a cut horizontally across the forefront which is called as flex grooves. Also, you should look for a spilt heel. Split heel is something that creates an outer and inner piece of the out-sole. It also helps in making the process of heel to toe running efficient. So whenever you go out to buy running shoes ensure that you look for these detailing.

Mid-sole Characteristics

It is an important characteristic of any running shoes. As mid-sole has the shock absorbent material between the out-sole and upper body of the shoe. The cushioning and support material rests here in the mid-sole. So, the material that impacts the support and cushion of the shoe come in the construction at the mid-sole. There are two types of cushioning materials that are found in good running shoes- EVA and Polyurethane. The lightweight cushion that has limited stability and durability is EVA, whereas, Polyurethane is dense and stable, therefore making the shoe a little heavy. If you want to know the difference in two shoes, then you must check out some shoes to understand the difference between the mid-sole of every shoe. You can ask help from a salesperson to help you find the perfect running shoes for you. If you want to buy a stable running shoe then pick a shoe which is made up of stiff material.
