Apple desperately needs the new device to shoot up its sales which have taken a downward plunge. Apple managed to sell 35.1 million smartphones in the second quarter while sales dwindled to a mere 26 million in the third quarter. The downward slide in sales was due to Samsung"s Galaxy Tab III which has taken over the market especially in Europe. The speculation that the new iPhone will be available in fall this year has also decreased the sales of iPhone 4s as people prefer to wait for a few months for the new gadget.
Apple has pinned all hopes on the new iPhone5 which promises amazing features. The new iPhone 5 is rumored to be slimmer and taller and will come with a larger screen and a smaller dock connector. The headphone jack has also been re-positioned and an improvement in the camera has also been promised by Apple. NFC (Near Field Communications) capability is the major attraction of the new iPhone 5 which will also feature a quad-core A6 processor for fast speed and enhanced graphics. Being a 4G LTE device the new iPhone5 will be able to download at ultra-fast speeds; however this feature is subjected to the availability of compatible 4G networks in the users" areas.
With so much hype building up the release of the new iPhone 5 is predicted to be the biggest product launch for Apple and the device itself is all set to break previous smartphone sales records.
