Laptops on the other hand are far trickier to upgrade and it is usually wise to seek professional help. No doubt that the bigger screen and hard drive capacity are two of the driving factors that draw people towards a desktop computer, although recent technological advances have brought new realms to the laptop. With fast new connections such as thunderbolt and USB3 it is now possible to run most things off an external hard drive and monitor them via an external monitor. By doing this you effectively get the best of both worlds, a portable computer and one that rivals the power of a desktop.
