Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system, a network of thin vessels and nodes throughout the body. Its function is to fight infection. Lymphoma involves a type of white blood cells called lymphocytes. The two main types of lymphoma are Hodgkin's disease and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma

Lymphoma also known as Non-Hodgkin lymphomas begin when a type of white blood cell, called a T cell or B cell, becomes abnormal. The cell divides again and again, making more and more abnormal cells. These abnormal cells can spread to almost any other part of the body. Most of the time, doctors can't determine why a person gets non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Our day to day hectic life style has forced to increase stomach ailments. Change in sleeping pattern time to time, eating oily spicy food, eating heavy dinner late at night, over consumption of alcoholic drinks and caffeinated drinks not only increases acidity level in stomach but also causes stomach ulcers. Stomach ulcers are also called gastric ulcer or peptic ulcer.

Stomach ulcers are also caused by an infection from bacterium H pylori. Anti-inflammatory drugs can also increase acidity in stomach which can cause stomach ulcers. Other causes are rare. For example, some viral infections can cause a stomach ulcer. Crohn's disease may cause a stomach ulcer in addition to other problems of the gut. Stomach cancer may at first look similar to an ulcer. Stomach cancer is uncommon, but may need to be 'ruled out' if you are found to have a stomach ulcer.

Pain in the upper abdomen just below the sternum (breastbone) is the common symptom. It usually comes and goes. It may be eased if you take antacid tablets. Sometimes food makes the pain worse. The pain may wake you from sleep. Other symptoms which may occur include: bloating, retching, and feeling sick. You may feel particularly 'full' after a meal. Complications develop in some cases, and can be serious. These include:

oBleeding ulcer. This can range from a 'trickle' to a life-threatening bleed.

oPerforation. This is where the ulcer goes right through ('perforates') the wall of the stomach. Food and acid in the stomach then leak into the abdominal cavity. This usually causes severe pain and is a medical emergency.

If you are facing any of such problems or have long term acidity then you must consult stomach ulcer specialist doctor for proper treatment.
