subject: Where Do You Stand In Personal Development? [print this page]

What is meant by personal development? One can say it could be developing your physical, mental, and emotional well being. I didn't realize I needed personal development, until my later years. One way to do this is reading. I read now more than I've ever read in my life. I've learned more from reading than I've ever learned before. I've gone through many trainings throughout life, but I have never learned as much, as I have by reading. But just reading anything, is not always good. One of the best books I've read is, The Magic of Thinking Big, by David J. Schwartz. If you don't learn something from this book, that will enhance your life, then something is truly wrong. How you think, determines where you will end up in life. People don't realize how powerful the mind is. Nothing is more powerful than a made up mind. And the food for the mind is considered to be books. The more you feed your mind with reading, the better your life can be. By reading positive books, I became even more positive than I already was. My life has been enhanced, greater than I ever imagined. Following the thinking process, you must take action towards the things you want to happen. No matter how small the action is. There must be action in order for things to ever begin to take form. Then, and only then, you will begin to see ideas come to you, opportunities open up, and people you need to help, seem to appear out of the blue. My personal development is one taking me to places I never thought possible. And I can attest that reading books has been a major contributor to my success. Choosing the correct author can sometimes be a daunting task, because there are so many self help books out there. But once you get one right book, that can lead you to the next right book, and before you know it, you would have built a library of books that has completely changed your life beyond your wildest expectations. Every month I will suggest a book to read. Whether it's for personal development, or how to build wealth. Which they both goe hand in hand. You can't build wealth without building yourself to a point of achieving wealth. Subscribe to my book club, to leave your comments on what you thought of the book, your experience, and how it has changed your life.
