subject: Starhub Tvb Awards Ceremony 2012 [print this page] The 2012 StarHub TVB Awards came to a satisfying closure on 18th, August, after weeks of intense voting. The night honoured the excellence of various TVB celebrities in a glamorous style.
The glitz night honoured some of the big names like Myolie Wu, Kevin Cheng, Moses Chan, and Linda Chung, who showed up loud cheers on the green carpet. These celebrities took home few biggest awards of the evening namely My Favourite TVB On Screen Couple award, and My Favourite TVB Actor and Actress award.
Hong Kong celebrities Kevin Cheng, Linda Chung, Kenneth Ma, Myolie Wu, and Moses Chan made their ways to Singapore for the StarHub TVB Awards 2012, which held at the Marina Bay Sands Grand Ballroom on Saturday, 18th August.
The night was marked by the stirring performances from Grasshopper and the seven finalists from Sunsilk Academy Fantasia, and Wayne Lai. The local singer Cai Ai Jia took the stage with audience pleasing on the classic TVB drama songs; however, it was the performance of 80-year-old evergreen actor Hu Feng which stole the show. He had difficulty in walking as age is catching up on him, but hats off to his determination for putting up a shinning show.
Moses Chan, Chen Fala, Kenny Wong, and Linda Chung sang their hearts out in the packed hall, which reflects that these stars are above than just actors. The night was hosted by King Kong and Astrid Chan with plenty of laughter moments involving stars.
Ghetto Justice, a courtroom drama, won the Singapore Media's Favourite TVB Drama award. Both the leads of the show took My Favourite TVB Male and Female TV Character awards along with My Favourite TVB Actor and Actress award. The show was the biggest winner.
When Heaven Burns also won three awards viz. My Favourite TVB Drama, My favourite TVB Male TV Character award for Moses Chan, and My favourite TVB Female TV Character award for Charmaine Sheh's character.
Moses Chan and Linda Chung's got My Favourite TVB On Screen Couple award for their on-screen chemistry in 'Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir!'
The award ceremony closed with a heartfelt moment when all the artists applauded for Hu Feng's Professional Spirit award.
