This unit is commonly used in anti-counterfeiting, contactless payment, handheld reading/encoding, item-level inventory management, patron management and patient safety systems.
This 13.56 MHz RFID M2 module, model 713008, is a multi-protocol embedded HF RFID reader module which is designed specifically for contactless financial transactions and encrypted authentication across a range of vertical markets. This module provides unparalleled investment protection and optimal performance for RFID embedded applications. It also provides seven general purpose I/O ports for input from and control over peripheral devices.
This module offers software adjustable host interfaces including UART (TTL), SPI and USB and provides a simple and intuitive API for encryption algorithms and key storage. It is compliant with ISO 15693 and 14443A/B standards and features minimal power consumption and maximum read range. It consumes little power: 4 mA in sleep mode, 75 mA in idle mode and 175 mA in scan mode. The read range can be improved by equipping the unit with a standard 50 external antenna.
