subject: More Popular Xbox 360 Playstation 3 [print this page] Playstations are one of the most popular gaming systems on the market. There are numerous reasons for this.
The prevailing concern that is the graphics. The Playstation has some of the best graphics in the marketplace, capable of rending 360,000 polygons per second. This enabled it to render nearly every image quickly and sharply, rendering it ideal for any game you could play on it, whether it was taking jewels from the safe, sniping a villain, or slamming anyone to the floor. The photographs were gorgeous, and therefore are among the industry's best.
The controls certainly are a dream; very responsive, and simple to learn, the controls are the best designed in the gaming industry. Even though the games or multiplayer war games themselves could have had some ridiculous problems, the Playstation's controls themselves allowed any player to understand the game to whatever level the gamer was effective at. Capable of handling approximately four controllers with appropriate hardware, the Playstation could easily have a group playing for the days.
The Playstation was also the first console to integrate a DVD player into itself. This allowed the interesting situation with the owner having the ability to watch an anime, then play a game based on that anime, all on the same piece of equipment; a great development over a console. Obviously, it was a totally -functioning player, with all the current features that you will expect from the DVD player; you could see an Easter egg about the player just as easily while you could on the games.
And the variety of the games is definitely not second -rate. With all the Game Cube being for children, and the XBox for revealing, the Playstation appeared to be a personal industry favorite. You could see games for any genre, any rating. You could see the standard fighting games, platform jumpers, and side -scrollers, along with some truly weird games (for example Cubivore, a game of evolution modeled on actual theories). There have been some dating games available, in addition to games which were compilations of other games from years past. Not just did it hold the best games these days, but best games of yesteryear. The Playstation literally had a game for anybody, with a strong type of educational games and much more illicit games for other ages.
The device had few weaknesses. The DVD player wouldn't last, needing to be repaired following a relatively small amount of time. Also, there have been only spaces for two controllers. No less than the memory cards could hold more game records than other games.
In a nutshell, the Playstation is definitely one of the best consoles ever designed. The console can keep a group of guys spellbound all day, and then just a little girl could take over the system along with her own games. There's a lot to be said about a console that may allow even the youngest child an array of entertainment options, including education games and Disney DVDs. A good console for a good time.
