subject: Clubbing In Cancun Part 5 [print this page] Before moving on to our final three Cancun clubs, let's go over a few safety tips for clubbing. After all, partying in a foreign city is not the same as clubbing in your hometown. There are certain precautions. First of all, don't go clubbing alone. Go in a group, or at least with a friend. Stay together until the end of the night, making sure each other get's back to the resort safely. Leave the expensive trinkets locked up in the safe at the resort or hotel. It would be very disappointing if those lovely diamond studs or brand new iPhone were stolen. Limit your alcoholic drinks, and stick to the limit. Drinking to excess leaves yourself open for bad things to happen, no matter what your gender. Make a plan of the clubs to visit, then let someone know your plan; someone not joining the party. It could be in the form of an email back home, a note left in your suite, or even telling the front desk staff at the resort.
Hard Rock Cafe is pretty well known, even to the non-party person. The Cancun Hard Rock Cafe Is no different from other locations, except that it is set overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Nightlife at Hard Rock includes live music, a huge open air deck facing the sea, and of course the iconic rock n' roll memorabilia collection. Head to the Hard Rock Cafe for the evening, for an experience that has a healthy dose of the familiar, a dash of Mexico and a heaping portion of great music.
Dady Rock is next on the list, and it is a place that has successfully managed to combine restaurant, bar, club and theme party mecca! There are four bars on two levels, an outdoor patio, live house band, and of course the obligatory charismatic MC and DJ pairing. For those that enjoy wet t-shirt contests and male dancer contests, Dady Rock likes to switch it up and offer those entertainments; other nights simply feature light and video shows as crowd pleasers. Dady Rock and Hard Rock Cafe may be vastly different, but they are both great places to spend an evening in Cancun!
Basic Nightclub is the final venue on our list. This one is in the same realm as Dady'O, Dady Rock and The City, meaning it is large and pulsing with energy. What sets Basic apart from the others is its location: a huge white dome situated over the lagoon and designed to open under the tropical night sky. Dancing, music, DJ's, light shows, water features and excellent beverages aside, Basic is an amazing structure in itself. Rain shoots up from the floor and rains down on the revelers, as the dance floor is designed as a water feature. Basic Nightclub is anything but basic.
