The basic difference between universities in Delhi and top universities in Delhi is that the latter believes education is not just about reading piles of books but about making a student aware of his/her environment, talent, and develop their personality by providing them a wholesome ambience. Higher education plays a pivotal role in every students life. It is at this stage that a student learns basic skills, which prepare him/her for professional arena.

The hunt for the title of top university in Delhi and developing the standards of education has attained an essentially important stature. India is an evolving nation and expanding in every stream. Establishment of technical, professional, medical Government institutes and other private institutes have contributed to the education platform of the entire country.

Literacy rate from around 3% in year 1880 has increased to around 65% in 2001. According to the last years Census, the Literacy Rate has increased and recorded to be around 73%. The levels of education in India, from higher to primary portray a challenge. Although the top universities in Delhi around the capital cater to a vast number of courses, still, careers in engineering are the most popular ones amongst the plethora of courses that our private and government universities offer. Engineering, better known as btech in the country, is popular due to the promising job opportunities and undoubtedly good salary packages. Its been a known fact that India produces more than 4 lakh engineers every year from different corners of the country but still the crunch of good engineers is lurching in the country. To address the same, the universities are increasing the number of seats in engineering courses.

There couldnt be just one university that can be crowned best university but certainly a few that have established new standards in the field of education and also have an exemplary footing in research and technology.
