My wife owns the kitchen but the backyard is my domain. This is where I rule and am the master of the grill. When it comes to grilling, men just seem to get back to the days when we used to make fires in caves and cook our food. As fun as it is to grill, you do need to make sure that your are safe as one little mess up could lead to a huge disaster. For grilling, here are some tips you should consider to be safe.
One of the first things I recommend especially if you are using a gas grill is that if you smell any leaks or see any other potential problems with your grill, take it in to get fixed or buy a new one. Some men ignore this and don't realize that they are grilling on a ticking time bomb. If there is gas leaking from your grill there is the potential that there could be a gas explosion and that would ruin everyone's Summer. Again if you spot any problems with your grill, avoid using it until it is fixed. A second tip to help you remain safe while grilling is to make sure that you always use thongs when trying to pick up things from the grill. Some men thick they have tough skin and try to just bare hand it, which is a big mistake. Doing this could lead to serious burn injuries to your hands. A third tip for being safe while grilling is to try and keep kids away from the grill when it is on. I can't tell you how many accidents happen when a parent turns away and their kid touches the grill. Kids sometimes don't do the smartest things so make sure you keep them away from the grill. A fourth tip to keep you safe is to make sure that you don't make the flame to big. Some guys when grilling try to make it as huge as possible and when this happens it can sometimes get out of control. I know it looks really cool when the flames are big but don't do it.
Grilling is one of man's favorite past times but when doing this they need to be safe as like I said, I mistake could lead to very painful consequences.
