subject: What Is A Bore Well Compressor? [print this page] AC motors are widely used in industrial applications primarily due to their efficiency and rugged nature. The AC induction motors are very energy efficient and are also used in applications that require operation at heavy load. The construction of these induction motors is very robust which makes them perfectly suitable for operating in any rough conditions. Bore well compressor is an application of the AC induction motor. Bore well compressor pumps are typically used to pull out water from huge depths. These pumps are specifically put into use in the cases when the water yield is very low or when there is a lot of sand. The water from these pumps is not obtained on a continuous basis; this is because the pump pulls out water along with the air.
Working Principle of Bore Well Compressor:
The compressor pump operates due to the difference in the air pressure between the water columns. The pump will consist of two water columns which are interconnected. The compressed air will be pumped down through the pipe which is meant for the discharge of the water. This air will get mixed with the water and they will form tiny air bubbles. An air distributor placed at the bottom of the pipe leads to the formation of tiny air bubbles. The air and water mixture in the discharge pipe will have a density lower than the water columns which are enclosing the discharge pipe. This difference causes the water to rise in the inside pipe which is used for the discharge of the water. The water in the discharge pipe will be stored in the tanks and then from the tanks they will use pipes to take out the stored water. The discharge pipe will not be directly connected to any of the water supply pipes directly because the water in this pipes will consists of air and water because of which the water will not flow continuously, the motion of the water from the discharge pipe will be pulsated. The discharge pipe must not be connected to any horizontal water outlets also because there will be hammering effect in the pipe due to the large air pockets that will be formed due to the air and water mixture.
Features:
These pumps require very minimal maintenance.
They can be operated without a foot valve.
These pumps can be installed very easily.
The bore well compressor can be operated with the help of diesel engines and also motors.
These motors can be conveniently positioned according to the desires of the user.
The bore well compressors are available for operating different loads.
Water can be drawn from greater depths of up to 600 feet.
The output of the water of these compressors mainly depends on the water yield.
Applications:
Bore well compressor pumps are widely used in agricultural and industrial applications.
They are also used for domestic purposes such as in individual houses, apartments and many more.
