subject: Home Mobility With The Aid Of Stair Lifts [print this page] When I had my fall, I thought that everything was going to change. But home stair lifts made sure that wasnt the case. I had come home from the village fete one Saturday, and as usual I had had a really great time. The whole community had been out there; the sun had been out, and all seemed well in my life. Of course, I couldnt help but wish my Arthur had still been there to see it. He always was one to really get involved in the joviality of these things. Yes, I remember - he would always be playing with all the children, buying them candy floss, and he always took part in the fruit and vegetable competition. I remember one year he won first prize for his fantastic rhubarb. But even if old Arthur hadnt been there, I had still enjoyed the fete. My brownies and muffins had sold like - well you know!
As usual I forgot all about my bad hip, and what that kind doctor had told me about not exerting myself too far. I was carrying too many cake tins when I was climbing up the stairs. My house is a bit back to front really; the kitchen is upstairs and my bedroom is downstairs, which is why I was taking my cake tins upstairs, to wash them up in the kitchen sink. But then one of the tins fell and I stepped on it as I was walking up the stairs. And before I knew it I had slipped and had a frightful fall all the way to the bottom of the staircase.
My son, bless him, has always been a worrier. He started talking about selling the family home and moving me into a home for old folks. Obviously I didnt want to cause any trouble, but still, I couldnt bear the thought of leaving this old place. But then my daughter in law, bright spark that she is, went on the internet and learnt all about home stairlifts.
We all thought that they must be really expensive, but it turns out you can find some really affordable home stairlifts. Karen, thats my daughter in law, showed me the website and even I could use it easily to browse the products - and Im usually a technophobe! Pretty soon we found the perfect incline assister for me, and now my life is back to normal, and Im still in my beloved house!
