subject: R4 Dsi Picks Up The Wi Fi Signals [print this page]

Another interesting application of the home brew software is the Nintendo Mail which is an email feature supporting SSL. The R4 Dsi picks up the Wi Fi signals and helps you to read your emails.

The new Nintendo Mail v0.56a, supports for ISO-8859 mails, has a fixed keyboard, uses newest libnds/dswifi/libfat, and has some miscellaneous fixes. This application has two new versions. The first is unlatched one which patches with a kind of card you want to use. The other is the R4 Dsi specific version, which is becoming the preferential choice among the users.

The home brew software includes some of the latest games that is loved by all. The favorite is the War craft Tower Defense, which has a custom map for War craft 3 on the PC. The game is to build towers that kill the waves who walk along a pre-determined path. If the towers are not built efficiently, some of the creature would get through and take away from their lives. The idea behind R4 Dsi is to create a gauntlet to kill enemy units as they pass through.

Twin Isles is another interesting game for the R4 Dsi or Nintendo Dsi. It is one of the most commercial types of game with hi-tech clarity in graphics and sound effects that have been found in the home brew community. There is a tech tree, background music and built-in game tips which can be disabled as needed. Some interesting features of the game are below: the free play mode Scenarios where you have to complete a specific task, a nice menu system with options to turn off music and save your replay option where you can watch your game as it can be saved.

DS cent is the R4 Dsi or Dsi version of Descent. The sounds and music are very good with smooth rates. The buttons can be used for full control, or the directional pad for moving can be used and the touch-screen to turn.
