The man of the series, the young and budding cricketer from the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli was felicitated with the brand new Renault Duster SUV which was launched in India last month only. India lead the tournament by 4-1, defeating Sri Lankan cricket team on their home ground.

Shortly after receiving Renault Duster SUV for the "Man of the Series" Virat Kohli along with the entire Indian cricket team got on the new SUV and took a short round around the stadium.Renault Duster was launched in India with the introductory price of Rs 7.19 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Renault Duster Price is the main highlight of the SUV which is helping the SUV gain a huge market share in the SUV segment. This is the first offering by the French car maker in the mass segment and the car maker has been able to achieve success too by garnering good number of sales for Duster ever since its launch in the domestic market.

With the launch of Duster a new definition has been given to the compact SUVs as it has more style, flaunts different design and looks way too different from the other SUVs which have been present in the Indian car market for a long time. Also what makes it different from the old SUVs are the new and advanced features which are equipped in the SUV and were not seen earlier in any of the SUVs. Launched in petrol as well as diesel variants, the pricing for the base version of the SUV is extremely competitive which is luring customers to the showroom. However, diesel variant is more popular than the petrol version for obvious reasons. The diesel base version is available at Rs 7.99 lakhs which is again not that expensive.

The compact SUV from Renault, the Duster is designed for long distance the SUV comes with a boot capacity of 459 liters which can be further expanded to 1000 litres when the back seats are folded. It also comes with a ground clearance of 205mm and a turning radius of 5.2m. The petrol mill churns out a maximum power figure of 104 PS and is also mated to a five speed manual transmission. Petrol trim offers a fuel efficiency of 13.24 kmpl while the diesel engine with 85 PS of power returns a fuel economy of whopping 20.45 kmpl and the diesel engine with 110 PS delivers 19 kmpl of mileage. The diesel version is offered with two engine options the first one can engender a high power of 85 PS and the second one can churn out a peak power of 110 PS.

India is a major market for Renault Duster and thankfully the product has been able to impress the Indian customers. Apart from eyeing on the monthly sales in the domestic market, the French car maker is also evaluating options to make India the manufacturing hub for Duster which will be produced in their Chennai plant. Renault Duster will be produced in India and will be shipped to the UK market under the brand name of Dacia.
